This is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those matters.

Douglas County Record Offices

For a current custody check, start with Douglas County Corrections. For a DCSO record, identify the Records Division or the custodian named by the county. A time-sensitive request should be confirmed with the office before travel or submission.

Douglas County Department of Corrections

Main telephone: 402-444-7400
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office

Records and office routing should be confirmed with the county before a request is sent.

Current records-office hours and a fixed DCDC booking-photo fee were not verified in the source material. Ask the custodian for the current process, estimated cost, and the legal basis for any withholding or redaction.

Choose the Right Custodian

A DCDC locator result answers a current-custody question. The arresting agency usually controls its own report, and the court system controls the case after filing.

  • Use the county records hub for the DCDC locator, a narrow booking-record request, and court follow-up.
  • Ask Omaha Police for an OPD report through its public-records portal, Form 38, or OPDFOIArequests@cityofomaha.org.
  • Request Ralston Police material through the city’s public-records form and Valley material through the Valley City Clerk route.
  • Use the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services offender search for state custody, then DCS.PublicRecords@nebraska.gov for a state-held record.
  • Use Nebraska Judicial Branch eServices for later case status, and contact the issuing court or counsel for warrant questions.
  • Use the BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator only for the separate federal or immigration-custody systems.
